We believe artists should be able to build sustainable creative practices while keeping more of what they earn.
That's why Atelier 30 takes just 10% commission on artwork sales, plus applicable Shopify transaction fees.
No large gallery commission.
No crowded marketplace.
No pressure to compete with thousands of listings.
Instead, we're building a smaller, considered community of artists and collectors who value original work.

Atelier 30 isn't trying to become another enormous art marketplace.
We're intentionally keeping things more personal.
Artists are selected based on the strength and individuality of their practice, and each artist is presented through a dedicated profile and curated collection of work.
Our model is collaborative.
We promote Atelier 30 artists through our growing social media presence, online collections, artist features and exhibition opportunities.
In return, we encourage our artists to actively share their Atelier 30 collection with their own audience and direct interested collectors to the platform to purchase.
Every artist brings a new audience into the gallery — and every new visitor has the opportunity to discover someone else's work.

Someone might arrive at Atelier 30 because they follow you and discover another artist.
Someone else's collector might arrive tomorrow and discover you.
That's exactly how we want the Atelier 30 community to grow.
Exhibition opportunities
As Atelier 30 develops, selected artists may also be invited to participate in curated exhibitions, collections, pop-ups and other promotional opportunities.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're interested in artists with a distinctive and developing visual practice.
You don't need an enormous Instagram following.
You don't need gallery representation.
And you don't need an impressive list of exhibitions behind you.
We're interested in good work, strong ideas and artists who are serious about developing their practice.
We particularly welcome applications from emerging and independent Australian artists working across areas including:
Painting
Drawing
Printmaking
Mixed media
Sculpture
Ceramics
Photography
Textile and contemporary craft
Limited-edition works
Other practices are welcome to apply and will be considered individually.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Atelier 30 is curated rather than open-listing.
When considering an application, we're looking for:
A clear artistic voice
Work that feels considered, individual and connected to an emerging or established practice.
Quality
Strong technical, material or conceptual resolution.
A cohesive body of work
You don't need every artwork to look the same, but we'd like to understand who you are as an artist.
Professional presentation
Good-quality photography and accurate information about your work are essential for selling art online.
Active participation
Atelier 30 works best when artists see the platform as a partnership rather than simply somewhere to upload artwork.
We're looking for artists willing to share their collection, promote new releases and help introduce new collectors to the Atelier 30 community.
HOW IT WORKS
01 — Apply
Tell us a little about yourself and your practice and send us examples of your recent work.
02 — We review your work
Every application is considered individually.
Atelier 30 is curated, so unfortunately we may not be able to accept every application.
03 — Build your collection
If selected, we'll work with you to establish your artist profile and initial collection of available work.
04 — Share your Atelier 30 gallery
Once your collection is live, you'll receive a direct link to your artist page.
Share it through your website, Instagram, social media, mailing list and with collectors interested in purchasing your work.
05 — Sell
Collectors purchase securely through Atelier 30.
When your artwork sells, Atelier 30 retains its 10% commission plus applicable Shopify transaction fees, with the remaining proceeds paid to you in accordance with our Artist Terms.
WHAT WE ASK FROM OUR ARTISTS
Atelier 30 is designed as a collaborative platform.
We ask participating artists to:
• Provide professional photographs of their work.
• Supply accurate titles, dimensions, media, pricing and artwork information.
• Keep us informed if a listed artwork sells elsewhere.
• Package sold artwork safely and professionally.
• Dispatch sold works within the agreed timeframe.
• Maintain consistent pricing across their own sales channels where appropriate.
• Occasionally share their Atelier 30 profile, new listings or Atelier 30 campaigns with their audience.
• Communicate professionally with Atelier 30 and collectors.
Most importantly, we ask artists to see Atelier 30 as something we're building together.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does it cost to join?
There is currently no upfront fee to apply or list your work with Atelier 30.
Atelier 30 receives 10% commission + applicable Shopify transaction fees when an artwork sells.
Do I need a large social media following?
No.
We're much more interested in the quality of your work and your commitment to your practice.
However, our model is collaborative, so we do encourage artists to actively share their Atelier 30 collection with their existing audience.
Will Atelier 30 sell my artwork for me?
We'll provide a professional platform, promote our artists and work to grow Atelier 30's collector audience.
However, we don't guarantee sales.
We believe the strongest model combines our promotion with yours.
Can I sell my work elsewhere?
Yes.
Atelier 30 is designed to provide artists with an additional platform rather than lock them into exclusivity.
We simply ask that you let us know immediately if an artwork listed with Atelier 30 sells elsewhere so it can be removed from the website.
Who decides my prices?
You do.
We're happy to provide guidance where useful, but artists remain involved in setting the price of their work.
Who handles shipping?
Artists are responsible for securely packaging and shipping their sold artwork within 7 business days. Shipping is paid by the buyer at checkout, and artists provide Atelier 30 with accurate shipping costs and tracking details.
When do artists get paid?
Artists are paid by bank transfer within 14 business days of confirmed delivery to the buyer. Atelier 30 deducts its 10% commission and applicable payment-processing fees before transferring the remaining proceeds.
Can I leave Atelier 30?
Absolutely. Atelier 30 is non-exclusive, and artists can leave at any time by providing 30 days’ written notice. Any existing sales or orders simply need to be completed first.
